Located 55 km outside of Amman in Swaimeh, Jordan, the Kempinski Ishtar fronts the longest private beach on the Dead Sea. It is the best hotel on the Dead Sea in Jordan I reckon.
There are 318 units at the Kempinski Ishtar Hotel, each with its own private balcony overlooking the Dead Sea. Rooms have wireless Internet connections, sleek designer furniture, and natural stone floors.
The Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea is an extensive luxury resort complex with low-rise villas structures nestled into a large garden zone. Apart from the Dead Sea beach access which we wanted to experience floating most, there are nine freshwater swimming pools, molded into lagoons and falls with a special children’s area. I really love the infinity pool with breathtaking view to the Dead Sea.
While you are in the Dead Sea, you definitely must try the world’s oldest and very first natural spa with the famous Dead Sea mud. A complete spa package is offered with steam, water, mud, and traditional beauty treatments.
There are multiple dining options and a complimentary breakfast buffet. The grand ballroom and auditorium, supplemented by seven additional conference rooms. A games suite, business center, fitness center and free parking are also available.
My hotel room was a good size, with a luxury bathroom and quintessential facilities and amenities. The Hotel Manager was even very kind enough to give free Minibar to our tour group – what a service!
The Kempinski Ishtar Hotel is a very good five star beach hotel and resort, and gave us a great and memorable evening. Unfortunately we only spend one night there and had to go to the other destinations in the morning. Hope I can come back again one day!
